Engineering, Development, Integration, and Sustainment

Hammers Company is seeking qualified Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, Cybersecurity Engineers, System Administrators, and Maintenance Technicians to support our work at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM and Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

Hammers is teamed with Engility-SAIC to support the Air Force Engineering, Development, Integration and Sustainment (EDIS) contract to update satellite ground systems and transform them into enterprise architectures that can operate multiple satellites without having to design a new ground segment.

The following labor categories/experience are immediately available:

Cybersecurity Engineer

Provides security engineering, integration services, technical assessments, and solutions to enable Defensive Cyberspace Operations. Defines system security requirements, assesses system security architecture designs, and supports the development and sustainment of an enterprise Risk Management Framework (RMF) Accreditation package through all lifecycle phases. Supports cybersecurity activities for space, ground, operations, logistics, and sustainment elements of the Remote Sensing enterprise by identifying risks, issues, and interdependencies between system elements, contracts and stakeholders. Develops DCO and incident response Tactics, Techniques and Procedures to monitor and protect the system from cyber-attacks.

System Admin

Manages an organization’s servers and desktop and mobile equipment. Ensures that email and data storage networks work properly. Also ensures that employees’ workstations are working efficiently and stay connected to the central computer network.

Software Engineer

Applies software engineering principles to design software specifications for Service Oriented Architecture objects and applications. Conceptualizes, develops, and implements a wide variety of program designs. May recommend modifications or improvements to new or existing applications. Tests, debugs, and refines software to meet customer requirements. Provides technical advice on programming applications and consults with customers and management to define problems and clarify requirements.

Systems Engineer

Leverages multi-disciplinary technical knowledge to support technical planning, system specification, design, integration, verification and validation. Performs studies and analyses to evaluate alternatives affecting cost, risk, system supportability and full life cycle issues (concept, design, test, installation, operations, maintenance, and decommission).

Maintenance Technician

Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of technical products and systems. Provides expertise for resolving technical problems. Troubleshoots product and modifies product to customer requirements. Provides training to customers. Responsibilities include software systems and other program requirements as assigned.

Cybersecurity Engineer 3 (NM):          

Experience Required: 5 years with BS; 3 years with Master’s; 0 years with PhD, obtained minimum of Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II DOD 8140 (was DOD 8570) certification (Security+, GSEC, CCNA-Security)

Cybersecurity Engineer 4 (NM):          

Experience Required: 9 years with BS; 7 years with Master’s; 4 years with PhD, Minimum of 3 years of past experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, obtained minimum of Information Assurance Security Engineer (IASAE) Level I DOD 8140 (was DOD 8570) certification (CASP, CSSLP, CISSP (associate)

Software Engineer 3 (NM): 

Experience Required: 5 years with BS; 3 years with Master’s; 0 years with PhD

System Administrator 3 (NM):           

Experience Required: 5 years with BS; 3 years with Master’s; 0 years with PhD

Systems Engineer 6 (NM):

Experience Required: 14+ years with BS; 12+ years with Master’s; 9+ years with PhD

Maintenance Technician 3 (COS):            

Experience Required: 5 years with BS; 3 years with Master’s

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.

  • US citizenship required

  • Ability to obtain National Agency Check Inquiry (NACI) personal background check, Secret and Top Secret Clearance
