United States Geologic Survey (USGS) Selects Hammers’ Software for Landsat Missions

The United States Geologic Survey (USGS) has awarded the multi-year Landsat Mission Operations (LMO) contract to General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) for the Development and Operations of the Landsat 8 and Landsat 9 Remote Sensing Satellites. This contract provides up to a 10 year period of performance with the prospect of extending to future missions beyond Landsat 9. In addition to GDMS and Hammers, the LMO Team includes a.i. solutions, Inc for Flight Dynamics.

Steve Hammers, the Hammers Company COO and President stated, “We are providing a world class suite of ground system products for telemetry & command processing (GALAXY®), trending and analysis (STARS™), data management and automation (MERCURY™) to support the multi-satellite environment for the Landsat spacecraft. As the prime contractor for the Landsat 8 (LDCM) Mission Operations Element, Hammers is a natural fit for the long-term objectives of the USGS”.
