NASA Awards Follow-on Software Engineering Support Contract (SES II)

NASA has awarded the Software Engineering Support contract, SES II, at the agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center to ASRC Federal Technical Services (ASTS), with the Hammers Company of Greenbelt, Maryland, as a principal subcontractor.

The 8A set-aside cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a maximum value of $250 million. The period of performance is five years, which will begin on April 1, 2016.

The contractor will acquire on and off-site support for the core business of the Software Engineering Division (SED, Code 580) at Goddard. The work will include, but is not limited to, the design, development, test, and deployment of software; data and information systems for aerospace missions within the Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate. The work also includes support for the SED managed development and test labs, test facilities and technical operations. The work will be performed at Goddard and at the contractor’s facilities nearby.

Hammers will be providing flight software development and sustaining engineering, spacecraft and payload simulator development and support, and ground software development and support for several Goddard flight projects. Hammers also will provide on-site and remote systems engineering, information systems security, and configuration management support for ongoing integration, test, and mission operations activities at Goddard.
